Hugh Reynolds has covered just about every prominent figure and important subject in the Hudson Valley – from governors to town clerks – for the better part of five decades. He has worked for five newspapers, including the Poughkeepsie Journal, Daily Freeman (as political editor/columnist) Ulster County Gazette (a founder and later owner/publisher), Ulster Publishing (with weekly papers in Woodstock, New Paltz, Saugerties and Kingston) and late of Catskill Mountain News. Reynolds offers readers extensive experience, perspective, insight, institutional knowledge and contacts delivered in a lively format that informs not only newcomers but long-time residents as well. Reynolds is the father of two grown sons and has two grandchildren. He lives in Kingston with his wife, Kingston photographer laureate Phyllis McCabe (who’s photos can be found throughout the blog), and their tuxedo cats, Mickey and Minnie.
